If you're looking for a peaceful spot to settle into and relax, then the Elk House is the place for you! It is situated along the Potato Hills of Southeastern Oklahoma near the town of Talihina. The view of the Kiamichi Mountain Range and Valley from the Elk House fire pit is absolutely breathtaking! This beautiful home includes 2 bedrooms (1 king and 1 queen) and 2 bathrooms downstairs along with a living room, a gas fireplace, fully stocked kitchen with an antique island, dining room, sun room with a sofa sleeper, and laundry room.   Upstairs in the Lodge Loft are 2 bedrooms (both queen) and 1 bathroom. You will not want to miss the view from the lodge room! This home can accommodate up to 10 guests per evening.  The Elk House has serval outside spaces to enjoy as well.  The covered front porch has a cute little rocking swing where you can sit and enjoy your coffee and watch for wildlife in the front yard area. There is also a covered back patio with seating that extends to a fire pit area where you can sit down and take in the expansive mountain valley while snuggling up to a cozy fire.  Down the hill from the fire pit area, is a spacious lawn that leads to the Heart Pond. It is also a short walk down from the house to the common area covered bridge and fire pit.  Mountain View Retreat has so many places to explore! Our common areas include walking trails through the front field, 2 catch and release ponds, and even a playground for the kids! The Elk House has a 2 night minimum stay. And sometimes 2 nights just isn't enough! You are sure to cherish the warmth of this rustic cabin home!
