Kiamichi Trail (K-Trail)

The Kiamichi Trail is a notorious offroad trail in Oklahoma running east-west across the Kiamichi Mountains. The western portion begins in Clayton, OK and ends at the Three Sticks Monument in Big Cedar, OK.  It is now privately owned and cannot be used.   The eastern portion of the trail travels county and forest service roads and is completely open to all who dare to drive it.  The K-Trail now starts at Three Sticks Monument, heading east towards Mena. Please refer to the USFS MVUM (motor vehicle use map) for legal forest roads.  There is no gas, water, or food available on the route. The trail changes drastically with big rain storms. Please be respectful of private property that is on either side of the trail.  The trail is very remote.  The trail crosses pavement at two locations, the Indian Highway South of Talihina, and Hwy 63 South of Big Cedar at the Three Sticks Monument.
